Final Individual Cultural Diversity Course Reflection #4

Culture diversity is a main part of our life, we have to know the real meaning of this diversity to know how to deal with different people from many nationalities and to respect  their cultures and religions.

I really enjoyed learning about culture diversity and the most interesting thing was watching some films about stereotyping, slaving and ism, in my opinion governments should add culture diversity subject in children school in a nice way to get the  people who understand multiculturalism and estimated the cultures of others, the most interesting subject I learned in this class was slaving, because I don't like people who doesn't  treat others well because of their color, specially learning the history of slaving and the present slaving and getting some examples of it.

It's a great idea to make a harmony day in UAE, I think  this day will increase the intimacy and love among all nationalities and races, one of the proposals is that the participant should wear the traditional clothes of the nationalities which involving him so they will not fee any difference between them, and I hope to apply this idea also in the poster, which will be the sign for this celebration.

I am very grateful for  this useful information that we have  received in this interesting article, and with the objectives of serving the human rights .

Blog Exercise 10A:

After going through the website and doing the survey I find out that am using 47 slaves, now days there is another kind of slaving people, and it can be sometimes worst than slaving black people in the past, some companies are dealing with the poor workers in a very bad way by keeping them in dirty places and giving them bad food with less salary that others get.

Blog Exercise 10B: Add 50-100 words (#10B)

The UAE has one of the strongest human rights records in the region, long time ago UAE government worked hard to reach this standard and prevent any kind of slaving workers by issuing some labor rulrs such us :

·        Workers in all labor sectors have rights to transfer employer sponsorship.

·        The UAE has created bank guarantees that earmark funds for worker compensation.

·        It is illegal for employers to withhold workers’ passports.

·        New licenses are being denied for foreign labor brokers and recruiters who cannot demonstrate full compliance with UAE laws.

·        Mandatory employment contracts protect the rights of domestic workers in relation to salary, accommodation, healthcare and working hours.

Meeting people from all over the world, and talking about culture was an exciting experience, I have learned so many things, and the most important thing was the different between UAE and other countries cultures.
It’s a great chance to remember how was our grandfathers live, by visiting the heritage village and talking to old people, and know how hard the life was, am sure that many tourists were enjoying touring around the museum and getting a clear idea about our culture.
It’s our turn now  to keep this heritage and culture save from melting with other cultures, and teach our sons how much that our culture is important.

Coon in 1962.  There is no universally accepted classification for “race”, however, and its use has been under fire over the last few decades. The United Nations, in a 1950 statement, opted to “drop the term ‘race’ altogether and speak of “ethnic groups”. In this case, there are more than 5,000 ethnic groups in the world, according to a 1998 study published in the Scientific American.  http://blog.world-mysteries.com/science/how-many-major-races-are-there-in-the-world/
